History

The Australia-Japan Foundation established the Sir Neil Currie Australian Studies Award Program in 2000 to develop studies of Australia in Japan. These Awards commemorate the life of Sir Neil Currie, former Australian Ambassador to Japan and former Chairman of the Foundation.

Notes

  • Established in 2000, the Awards commemorate the life of Sir Neil Currie, former Australian Ambassador to Japan and former Chairman of the Foundation. The purpose of the Awards is to develop studies of Australia in Japan through provision of financial support to promising Japanese scholars and researchers and to strengthen further the Australia-Japan relationship.
