History

'Young Guns is an annual script writing competition for young aspiring playwrights. Scripts must be the original work of the writer, not previously published or performed, and all entrants must be South Australian. Winners receive $500 and a series of dramaturgy sessions with State Theatre Company’s Associate Director Michael Hill and a team of professional actors.'

joint winner Hitting The Fourth Wall Gemma Snedden , 2007 single work drama 'A short playful look at theatre itself and the conventions hapless fictional characters are forced into. Two blank characters stumble onto a stage and have no idea what they should be doing and so they get shouted at by the audience, by the director, by the stage manager and by their writer.'
