History

The Weary Dunlop award, initiated by politician Bill Sykes.aimed to recognise students who have demonstrated various qualities including persistence and resilience to overcome a challenge in their life to achieve their goals.

Notes

  • With the passing of Sir Edward 'Weary' Dunlop on 2 July 1993, the Weary Dunlop Award was established at the 2nd annual conference of the Australian Military Medicine Association. The award is made for the best original paper presented at the annual conference
