History

'Queensland Theatre’s Young Playwrights’ Award is one of Australia’s longest running annual playwriting competitions for young writers. Each year, high school aged writers (Years 9-12) are encouraged to submit an original play, which is read by a panel of industry professionals.'  

Notes

  • For playwrights aged 13 - 15 and 16 - 18. The Award has been sponsered by various companies including Comalco.
