We Need a Corner for a Poet, and We Don't Even Know It, Christopher Bantick , single work column
Christopher Bantick argues that St Paul's Anglican Cathedral, Melbourne should be the site of an Australian Poets' Corner (similar to Poet's Corner in Westminster Abbey, London): 'Besides granting Australian poets a place in a city that befits their contribution to the intellectual if not spiritual life of the nation and beyond, their names immortalised may just prompt people to ask not only who they were, but how can I find their work? A voice in a corner is not too much to ask for is it?'
