The Ballarat Philharmonic Society is in danger of being disbanded owing to lack of members, as so many people have left the district. There are many people in Ballarat capable of joining the society and they are urged to do so.

A favourable review of a performance of Walter Scott's 'Bride of Lammermoor'. Mr H. N. Warner and Mr John Mungall played the lead roles. 'Rob Roy' will be presented this evening at the Theatre Royal and will be one of the most excellent performances of this play ever given in Ballarat.
