Conquered, Myrle Hoy , single work short story
An office outing by boat up river to Redcliffe includes an evening dance where a young woman and a captivating stranger meet. When she does not hear from him afterwards, as he had promised she would, their relationship seems doomed. However, there is an explanation that will enhance their relationship.
