AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'The two stories in this book are true. The first tells of the wreck of the brig Stirling Castle in 1836, and gives an exciting and truthful account of the adventures of the captain and crew. The second story describes the attack made by aboriginal warriors in 1874 upon Barrow Creek Telegraph Station, a lonely link the great chain of telegraph stations connecting Adelaide with Darwin.'
