Lawsuit to Unravel Tivoli Tangle, single work column

A report on the legal action brought against Harry Rickards' Tivoli Theatres Ltd and Hugh D. McIntosh by Harry Rickards Maas and Frank Harwood. The dispute centred on McIntosh's continuing salary of two thousand pounds a year when the company had long ceased carrying out its vaudeville and theatrical operations. The plaintiffs also demanded the right to inspect the company's books and balance sheets.

In addition to McIntosh, the other defendants named in the action were : Edmund Covell, William Grey Saxon, William James Curtis K.C., and the City Mutual Life Society Ltd. The report also names shareholders in the company, with these including : Jack Cannot (100 shares), E. Covell, trustee of the estate of Kate Rickards (67,701 / 100 preferential), W. J. Curtis (5000), W. G. Saxon (5000), W. Linton (50), H. D. McIntosh (65,334 / 20,250 preferential), H. Covell (7236), A. Isaacson (1000 / 250 preferential), F. Aydon (3534), Frank Harwood (50) and H. R. Maas (100).
