In this letter from Christchurch, New Zealand (dated 8 July 1916), Leo De Chateau, the manager of Edward Branscombe's Pink Dandies Company, writes of the situation concerning conditions and levels of public moral as new Zealanders cope with the war. The letter also mentions a number of the Pink Dandies members, along with Edward Branscombe, his theatrical operations. De Chateau also makes some observations about variety performers in general.
A brief review of one of the programmes staged at the Princess Theatre, Sydney during July 1916. Much of the review focues on Jack Kearns' performance. A brief mention is made, too, of Nat Phillips' Tabloid Musical Comedy Company's debut at the Princess on 8 July.
