'This book of wonderful rhymes came from an idea from my little (“I’m big”) five-year-old girl who ran into our bedroom one morning, yelled “There’s a Wombat in my Bed” and promptly ran back into her bedroom, where we found her under the bedcovers being “the wombat”. What else could I do but start making up these rhymes. With the help of “Uncle Phil”, the rhymes were transformed into the colourful images you see in the book. Joanna announced her approval by telling Uncle Phil, “You did really well, you didn’t even go out of the lines …”' (Publication summary)
