The New York Post is one of the oldest continuously-published newspapers in the USA. It is a daily paper serving New York City and the surrounding metropolitan area. The New York Post was founded by Alexander Hamilton in 1801. It changed to tabloid format in 1933 and is generally known to publish a conservative viewpoint. The paper was owned by Dorothy Schiff for much of the twentieth century, but was bought by Rupert Murdoch in 1977.
