Mary-Anne Vale is a performing arts graduate from Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education (now the University of Southern Queensland). She has worked as an actress, producer and director in theatre, television and film. Vale was a founding member of Tightrope Theatre Company and has had a long association with the Griffin Theatre Company.
