BiographyHistory

Frank Van Straten was the first archivist of the Performing Arts Museum, Victorian Arts Centre and its director from 1984 until 1993. Since 1986 Van Straten has researched for and presented on ABC Radio in Melbourne. Over several decades he has conducted oral interviews with members of the performing arts community and has contributed articles for theatre programmes and journals.

Van Straten has been a member of the judging panels for the Green Room Awards Association and the Helpmann Awards.
