— Appears in: Koori Mail , 22 May no. 701 2019; (p. 6)

'Bundjalung Elder and inspirational leader Charles Harold Moran passed away peacefully in Casino hospital after a long battle with kidney disease. He was a man of great inner strength, courage and foresight, quietly determined with unshakeable belief in his cultural heritage. His long life began in the Pretty Gully bush in Northern NSW, where he learned the language and cultural rules from the Grandfathers, then some of the last of the initiated men of the region. These men taught Charles self-reliance and he maintained that independence throughout his life.' (introduction)
