Des and Tam are members of a clean-up crew in a strange toxic wasteland. It’s a lousy job, but it’s the best they can get, and it may just get them what they want. When they stumble upon what may be the wasteland’s last human survivor, these determined but lowly Level 7s will have to decide between saving humanity or saving themselves.

ODDLANDS is a story about two unlikely heroes who manage to find a little hope in the strangest of places. The question is, what will they do when they find it?"

1 3 Soft Bruce Gladwin , 2002 single work drama

The first narrative, set in contemporary times, is the story of a couple going through a pre-natal screening process who find out their unborn child has Down syndrome. The story is complicated by the fact that their doctor, played by Nicki Holland, also has Down syndrome.

The second narrative is a sci-fi story set 40 years into the future. A man is picked up by the police, and, with no identification on him, is brought to a genetic scientist (Jim Russell) for identification through DNA. It emerges that the mysterious stranger is the last surving [sic] person with Down syndrome.
