A German domestic setting at the time of the Nazi revolution, Leaden Logic's action takes place just after the funeral of Herr Muller. The wake brings together his two sons, Erich (a Nazi) and Otto (a Social democrat), and Joseph Wolfe (a Jew wrongly accused of Communism and also engaged to their sister). In a review of the 1934 Little Theatre production, the West Australian's theatre critic records that 'the women of the house preach incessantly about the need for love and peace and the horrors of war' ('Little Theatre,' p.20).
