BiographyHistory

Daughter of Captain Frederick Marryat, British author of adventure stories, and sister of Augusta Marryat (q.v.) Emilia Norris, who also wrote as Emilia Marryat, was herself the author of a number of children's books, two of which contain some Australian content. However, it has not been established that she ever visited Australia.
