BiographyHistory

Rosamond Kinmont-Sharp is the sister of Joan Kinmont and the aunt of Meredith Daneman and Felicity Thompson (qq.v.). Grand-daughter of William Richard Randell, the first steam navigator on the River Murray, and daughter of Dr Edward Kinmont and his wife Mabel, Rosamond lived at 'The Castle', in Port Lincoln until her family left Port Lincoln in 1915. She attended The Wilderness school, and studied for an A.M.U.A. (music). In 1926 she married bank manager Cyril Ivor Sharp and lived in a number of South Australian country towns and sometimes in Adelaide. She died of cancer shortly after the publication of her book.
