BiographyHistory

Prior to World War I, Hutchinson worked as an advance agent for the theatrical firm J.C. Williamson. He enlisted in Sydney in 1915, and then served with the 20th Battalion AIF at Gallipoli, and in Egypt and France. He was returned to Australia in 1917, after being wounded and gassed. He died at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney in 1942.
