BiographyHistory

Alfred Hudd published only the one work, although he is known to have written at least one other poem. He left school at the age of twelve, and from that time was self-taught. He was a carpenter and joiner, and lived in Goodwood, Norwood and Maylands, Adelaide, marrying at the Baptist church, Norwood in 1891 and having seven children. He was a Lay Preacher in the Church of Christ.

He died shortly before his 100th birthday.
