Jill Turner was born in Henley-on-Thames, England, and has lived in Geelong, Victoria for many years. She studied Fine Arts at the Gordon Institute of Technology and gained a Diploma of Painting. She has exhibited works in Geelong and Melbourne and has won prizes in a national art competition in England. Turner has worked as a teacher of arts and as a freelance artist.
