BiographyHistory

English novelist Mary Elizabeth Braddon was heavily serialised in Australian newspapers and magazines between 1872 and 1895. Of the total of twenty-eight novels serialised, seventeen appeared in Melbourne papers: eight in the Age and nine in the Melbourne Leader; seven were published in Sydney: five in the Town and Country, and one each in the Sydney Mail and the Illustrated Sydney News; and four appeared in Queensland: three in the Queenslander and one in the ~Brisbane Courier.
