A continuation of an earlier British magazine called, Kind Words for Boys and Girls, Young England aimed at a similar audience to the Boy's Own Paper. Initially established as a weekly, beginning 3 January, the paper eventually became a monthly and finally an annual publication.



The editors known to have been associated with the paper were: Benjamin Clarke (1880-1889),

Thomas Archer (1889-1894) and Horace George Groser (ca. 1920s).
