1 y separately published work icon The Mail [Adelaide] 1912 Adelaide : Clarence Moody , 1912-1914 Z1865604 1912 newspaper (36 issues) The Mail was founded in 1912 by Clarence Moody, who also that same year founded two other Adelaide newspapers- the Sporting Mail and the Saturday Mail. The latter publications only lasted only two years and five years, however. When Moody's company went into liquidation in late 1914, ownership of The Mail passed briefly to George Annells and Frank Stone, and then to Herbert Syme. The paper was purchased by News Limited in 1923.
