Stars of the Australian film, The Sapphires have joined Arts Minister Simon Crean to launch a new work and training program that will create jobs for Indigenous Australians. Screen Australia received funding through the Government's $650 million Indigenous Employment Program to run the employment strategy.

'Aboriginal artist Gulumbu Yunupingu has unveiled a new work at the Australian National University in Canberra. The work, Garrurru (Sail) represents the boats of the Macassans of Indonesia with whom Ms Yunupingu's clan, the Gumatj have had cultural and economic ties going back more than four hundred years.'
