An American and British co-production, Camelot, created by British script-writer Chris Chibnall, sought to update the legend of King Arthur for a modern audience. Though reasonably successful with both audiences and critics, it was cancelled at the end of the first season.
Four of the ten completed episodes were co-written by Australian-born script-writer Louise Fox, who began writing for television with sketch comedies Full Frontal and Fast Forward, as well as scripting (with Philip Dalkin and Esben Storm) the second series of fantasy sit-com The Genie from Down Under.
