BiographyHistory

Louisa Baker, an English author who lived in New Zealand from 1863 to 1894, was a journalist and also a prolific novelist (under the pseudonym 'Alien'). Three of her novels are set partly in Melbourne and it is likely that she spent some time in Australia.
