BiographyHistory

Winifred Hilliard was ordained deaconess in the Presbyterian Church in 1951. In 1954 she was sent to Ernabella Mission in the Northern Territory where she worked for over thirty years with the local Indigenous community, developing crafts and art for sale. Hilliard was instrumental in the establishment of Ernabella Arts Inc.
