BiographyHistory

Robert Unjamurra was one of Rev Gribble's best stockmen at the Forrest River Mission. Robert and Reverend Gribble respected each other and were good friends. When Reverend Gribble's life was threatened in Wyndham for exposing the Forrest River Massacre of 1926, Robert made himself Rev Gribble's personal bodyguard and kept himself close to the reverend's side. He married a woman named Louisa and they had a daughter named Coralie who became a teacher at the mission and a son named Stanley. Unjamurra is the brother of Vernon Dah (q.v.).
