BiographyHistory

Olive Jackson was born in NSW, the daughter of Jim Smith and Muriel Charles. She had a sister named Blanch and a brother named Artie Charles. Jackson was raised on Cummeragunja Mission after her mother died and she also expererienced the Cummera Walk Off. Her education was incomplete when she left school and began working in the fruit picking industry. The Salvation Army and Christianity played a major role in her life.
