1 The Wings of Egeria Mildred Chrissen , 1921 single work short story
— Appears in: The Queenslander , 9 July 1921; (p. 34) A wealthy man buys a derelict property so that it can be turned into an orphanage for babies, to be run by Anglican nuns. Once established, he visits with his seven year old son who forms a friendship with a four year old orphan girl. Sixteen years pass before the son again visits, just before he leaves for war. Love blossoms between the boy and girl when they re-establish their friendship. The future, however, holds many twists for their relationship.
