BiographyHistory

Tony Ozies is an Elder of the Djugan people from around the Dampier Peninsular. Born in Broome, Tony has always lived in the Kimberleys and has worked most of his life in the pastoral industry. His mother was Aboriginal and his mother was Philippino and was unfortunately taken away from them when he was 8 years old, to Beagle Bay Mission. He married Helen Rose who was a Nyigina woman from the Derby area. His grandmother is Dot Hunter (nee Watson) who was also a Nyigina woman.
