Rodney Miller , Queensland : Rodney Miller , 1977 Z1753562 1977 single work essay criticism This paper examines some poetry by Aboriginal activist poets Kevin Gilbert and Kath Walker. It demonstrates how Aboriginal poets use the language of English to express Aboriginal concerns for social justice and equality. Brief comparison is made to non-Indigenous poets such as A.D. Hope, Bruce Dawe and T.S. Eliot, to emphasise the unique nature of Aboriginal poetry.
