'Of Human Experience celebrates the life and work of distinguished Australian poet and memoirist Peter Skrzynecki OAM. Peter’s evocative writing is cherished by generations of Australians. His poetry continues to be studied by students in secondary education.

'This volume of essays, from contributors Martin Duwell, Helen Koukoutsis, Kathryn Burns, Jim Kable, Frank Davidson, Narelle Nightscales, Geoff Cains, Marianna Lacek, Leonie Powrie and Elspeth Maddocks, sheds fresh, rich light on many aspects of Peter’s work including his early poetry, his time spent in the New England area of New South Wales, the constantly reprinted poetry collection Immigrant Chronicle, his Polish-Ukrainian heritage and the translation of his work from English to Polish. The book closes with a wide-ranging interview with Peter, conducted by editor Lorne Johnson at Peter’s Sydney home, mid-2018.
