Emerson (editor), Francis Kenna (editor), 1900 Bowen : Annie Christie Massy , 1900-1910 Z1496722 1900 newspaper The Port Denison Times and Bowen Advocate began publication in 1900 after the amalgamation of The Port Denison Times with The Bowen Advocate. Annie Christie Massy managed and edited the paper until her death in 1901, when her husband John Eyre Massy took over until August 1909. E. S. Emerson then served as editor until November 1909, as well as managing the paper with Messrs. Walker and Greenhalgh. On their departure, Francis Kenna took over until April 1910. The newspaper finally ceased publication in December of that year.
