Radio serial written by Sumner Elliott.
According to advertisements when it aired in Hobart:
'Girl of the Ballet' is a romantic drama, its background the scintillating atmosphere of a Russian Ballet Company, set to the accompaniment of glorious melody – the music of the Ballet. (Advocate, 24 October 1942, p.7).
According to newspaper reports when it aired (much later) in Brisbane:
'Girl of the Ballet' [...] is now well into swing, complete with a disreputable member of aristocracy, and girl struggling to make good to spite of sinister character bent upon making her a world famous dancer, and people from the past released from gaol, looming up 'back stage' demanding £2000 we all know she hasn't got. ('Radiopinion', Sunday Mail, 31 July 1949, p.7).
