The second shop of Thomas Tegg, in partnership with one Castleman, was located in St. John's Street, Clerkenwell, London. According to Tegg, though he 'wrote all night and worked all day', the business did not prosper and he was cheated out of a large sum of money by a 'supposed friend'. The partnership was subsequently dissolved and Castleman 'soon drank himself into the grave'.
