Bri Lee is a Brisbane-based writer, qualified lawyer, and the founding editor of the feminist magazine Hot Chicks with Big Brains. She holds both an LLB (Hons) and an Arts degree (in Mandarin).
In 2018, she published her memoir Eggshell Skull, an examination of sexism in the legal industry and judicial system. In 2019, she published Beauty, a meditation on beauty standards in patriarchal societies. In 2021, she published Who Gets to Be Smart, a survey of academic privilege.
Lee was the inaugural recipient of the Kat Muscat Fellowship in 2016 and one of the 2017 Griffith Review Fellows.
