Semester 1 / 2015

Description

Approaches to Theories and Ideas will introduce you to some of the most important writers, ideas and terms in 20th- and 21st-century literary theory, with the intention of helping you to become a better writer, reader and critic. Areas of discussion may include postmodernism, psychoanalysis, feminism, queer theory, Marxism, post colonialism, ecocriticism and more. Theoretical concepts and ideas will be explored in relation to the practice of creative writing, and you will respond to these ideas through both analytical and creative writing tasks.
