"There and Nowhere" : A Conversation with Jaclyn Moriarty, Judith Ridge , single work interview
'Ridge takes a look at the work of Australian writer Jaclyn Moriarty. Most known for her young adult literature, Moriarty first made waves on the Australian YA scene in 2000 with the publication of Feeling Sorry for Celia. The book captured all too well the public-private school divide, explored effectively, and with wry humor, through Moriarty's now-trademark mix of notes, letters, diary entries, and school assignments. After four Ashbury/Brookfield books, Moriarty moved away from straight realism to the dual world/portal fantasy of A Corner of White, the first in the Colors of Madeleine trilogy.'
