History

Inaugurated in 2007 with support from the Readings Foundation (2002-2014) and the Grace Marion Wilson Trust (from 2009), the Glenfern Fellowships are awarded and administered by Writers Victoria. They provide three months' use of a Glenfern writers' studios.

Not offered during 2020 and 2021, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In December 2022, it was announced by National Trust of Australia (Victoria) and Writers Victoria, who run the studios, that from July 1, 2023, writing studios will no longer be available, essentially ending the fellowships.
