AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The Moira Independent was run by the Corboy family for almost fifty years leading up to its 1938 purchase 'by Messrs Hiscock and Sons, of the Benalla Standard'. Reporting the sale, the Melbourne Argus states: 'The late Mr M A Corboy conducted the business for more than 40 years and for the last five years it has been managed by his daughter Miss P. Corboy.'
