BiographyHistory

A meeting of Sydney Times newspaper shareholders and their 'Literary Friends' at the Royal Hotel, Sydney, New South Wales, agreed on resolutions to form a Sydney Debating and Literary Society. The resolutions were published in the Sydney Gazette (17 March 1838): 3 by Nathanial Lipscomb Kentish, honorary secretary of the Society.
