History

Inaugurated in 2024 by Rose Goddard (executive director of Wimbledon Book Fest), Imran Khan (former CEO of the British Science Association and executive director of the UC Berkeley Center for the Study of Psychedelics), and Leo Barasi (author of The Climate Majority), the Climate Fiction Prize is managed by Climate Spring, a global climate storytelling organisation based in the UK. The prize was first awarded in 2025.
