— Review of Bennelong and Phillip Kate Fullagar , 2023 single work biography
'Two reviews have been undertaken of what is a complex text, in the manner that it has been written. Numerous reviews have been written of the text since publication in 2023, most by authors familiar with Fullagar’s work or historians with a background knowledge of the texts content. This review is by a layman, Bylhouwer, who has minimal knowledge of the key figures in comparison with Foley who thought he had an intimate cultural understanding of both men. Their combined views are a juxtaposition of understanding and comprehension on what is a text that in its current form has a restricted readership base' (Introduction)
