'Curtis McGrath served with the Australian Defence Force in Afghanistan where he was hit by a mine blast on duty and subsequently lost both his legs. He has since become one of the country's most successful Paralympic athletes, winning Gold as a canoeist in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, and becoming an ambassador for the 2018 Invictus Games. Curtis is now a ten-time world champion gold medallist, with two more Paralympic gold medals from Tokyo to add to his collection. His life is a lesson in not just how to face setbacks, but triumph over them. He lives on the Gold Coast with his wife, Rachel, an ICU doctor.'
