History

Launched in 2017 by Madrid bookshop Desperate Literature, the Desperate Literature Prize aims to provide opportunities for writers of innovative and boundary-pushing short fiction of under 2000 words.

In 2021, it announced Kill Your Darlings as a partner literary journal.
