'Based on real letters from real prisoners, To Lonely, with love explores the act of letter writing and how the intimacy of the written word can bring light in the darkest of moments. Words have actions and once on the page, they cannot be taken back. Compared with posting your thoughts and feelings fleetingly online, a letter is a deliberate and thoughtful means of communication, a piece of yourself floating in the ether hoping for connection. This honest and moving new work looks at those in isolation and how letters can help bring two lonely people out of their own personal prisons.
