(Status : Public)
Coordinated by Cirrus
  • Steps to Sign Up

For each course in which you are using Cirrus, you will be provided with a link. The link may be emailed to you, or provided via the Blackboard site for each course.

You must access Cirrus via that link. This will allow you to sign up to the correct course. Each course will have its own unique link.

The link will take you to the Cirrus homepage, where you will be asked to log in.

The log in button is on the left-hand side of the page. Click 'Log in with your UQ username'.

  • You will be directed to the Australian Access Federation page.

Select your organisation (The University of Queensland) and click 'Continue to your organisation'.

Note: if you are using your personal computer, tick the checkbox for ‘Remember this selection permanently’. Do not tick this option if you are using a public computer.

  • You will be prompted for your UQ username and password.

Note: you may see either the Australian Access Federation log-in page, or the UQ single sign-in log-in page. In either case, enter your UQ username and password.

  • Click ‘Login’.

You will be directed to a page that includes your email address, username, and the course in which you are enrolled.

Tick the box to accept the terms and conditions, and click the ‘Sign up!’ button.

Note: Do not click the 'Sign up!' button more than once. This will create more than one account. The system may take a short while to process the information.

  • You will be redirected to the main Cirrus page.

Since this is your first log-in, you will need to click ‘Log in’ again to get into the system.

Your home page should now be populated with the details of your upcoming courses and assessment.

You only need to go through the full process once, although you may be asked to identify your organisation again if you use a different computer.

Note: if you are using a public computer (for example, in the library), you must log out and close the browser after you have finished using Cirrus.
